1. Microsoft Global IME for non-Korean Windows 95/98/ME [Freeware]

1.1 Download and Install

1.2 After Installation
There will be a small icon created on the task bar. It will display .

1.3 How to Read
In Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher, choose View -> Encoding -> More -> Korean, or
View -> Encoding -> Korean if you can see Korean next to Encoding.

1.4. How to Write
In Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher, first click in any empty area of the window only where you can type. Now click on from the task bar and then select .

The input character method bar will appear right above the task bar. means you can type in English. Click on , and then it will change to so that you can write in Korean.

This shows up only when writing in Korean is allowed.
When is clicked, this shows up.
When is clicked, it changes to
This enables you to write in Korean.
This enables you to write in English.
This is seldom used. Don't click. (Half / Full Character)
Use this to change some Korean characters into Chinese characters.

3. Non-Korean Windows 2000

2.1 Choose Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Regional Options -> General -> Language Settings for the System -> Korean

2.2 Click on the Set Default button.

2.3. Under the same General tab -> System Locale -> Korean

2.4 Click on the Apply and OK buttons.

2.5 Restart the system.

2.6 Choose Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Regional Options -> Input Locales -> Korean

2.7 Click on the Set Default button.

In this way, you can add other languages.
